45 year old Hiroshi Kamei, survivor of the 2011 Tohoku tsunami, who now lives in temporary housing and is out of work, in Ishinomaki, Japan, on Friday 13 July 2012. Earlier this year, on February 17th, he posted a note on his accommodation door stating that he had not eaten for 3 days and asking if could spare food for him. Kamei-san finds himself in dire poverty with no government agencies helping him, instead he survives on food handouts from an NGO called Second Harvest Japan. The location of his temporary hosing, on the outskirts of town, makes it difficult for him to visit employment bureaus in search of work, or even to reach a supermarket.
